Traffic Impact Assessment for the Project of 053WS – “Uprating of Chai Wan Salt Water Supply System”

Project Description: Chai Wan salt water supply system has nearly reached the designed capacity limit, so the system must be upgraded in order to provide adequate and reliable supply to ChaiWan and Siu Sai Wan. Ozzo was commissioned by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative (HKSAR) to carry out a traffic impact assessment (TIA) study for the “Upgrating of Chai Wan Salt Water Supply System” project. The TIA is required to identify the potential traffic impact of the project during construction phase and the tasks include analyzing existing traffic characteristics, identifying on-going road works in the vicinity, determining adjacent new developments that will interact with the construction works and designing appropriate temporary traffic management schemes to mitigate traffic disruptions.
